Faces

The Project

To celebrate the official release of the Mac Miller’s pivotal mixtape Faces on streaming platforms October 2021. Originally released in May 2014, Faces is a fan favourite and we were honored to bring to life the artwork and tell the story of what ‘Faces’ means to Mac Miller fans. The video premiered on Cool Accidents on 18 November 2021.

From Cool Accidents

Back in 2014, the late Mac Miller released his 11th mixtape, Faces, following the release of his second studio album, Watching Movies With The Sound Off. It's considered by many Mac fans to be his magnum opus, which is why the news that it's now available on streaming services and vinyl has people so excited.

Mac was the executive producer for Faces, under his producer pseudonym Larry Fisherman, with individual tracks on the project produced by ID Labs, Earl Sweatshirt, Thundercat, 9th Wonder and more.

It's a dark, jazzy project, and for many Mac fans, is the best example of the sounds he was producing throughout his discography. To mark the release of the project on streaming, it's arrived with a bonus track, Yeah, which is the last song on the tracklist.

From Warner Music

In January 2020 we hosted an intimate listening session for Mac Miller’s ‘Circles’ on Gadigal Land in Sydney, Australia. We were overwhelmed when nearly 2000 fans from around the world answered the question ‘What Does Mac Miller’s Music Mean To You?’ In this video we wanted to take the opportunity to revisit the fans’ sentiments, particularly as they related to ‘Faces.’

These words and feelings have been brought to life by the supremely talented Sofii Mara at INCOMMON. We thank Mac’s fans for their honesty and their vulnerability and we will never forget the beautiful night we spent celebrating the art and life of Mac Miller.'
